Welcome to St Joan of Arc’s Udayan Mission 2024

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the St Joan of Arc Udayan Mission 2024, for our visit to India in February 2024. Udayan has been a whole school charity for St Joan’s since 2004 and the 2024 mission will be the ninth trip students from the school have made to visit Udayan. We hope that our website will provide readers with an insight into Udayan and our travels through our daily diary written by us, the students, along with photographs.

The countdown begins…

Week two commences!

Back to normality for us waking up this morning no longer in the city but in Udayan which we now call home. The group gathered at breakfast to find out that Amy had been the victim of one of our newfound traitors, some might call this Karama.

Today started with an 5am wakeup call, not in preparation for our return to Udayan, but to join the Missionaries of Charity for mass at the Motherhouse – the headquarters for Mother Teresa’s sisters.
